Membership questions

QWho can become a member of the society?

AAny individual above 18 years of age who agrees to the society’s bye-laws can apply for membership. You will need proof of identity, proof of address, and a photograph. Membership is confirmed after the managing committee reviews the application.

Loan scheme questions

QWhat documents do I need for a loan?

AFor most loans you need identity proof, address proof, recent bank statements, and income proof. Gold loans require the ornaments for valuation. Business loans additionally need financial statements and, where applicable, GST returns. The branch will give you the exact checklist for the scheme you choose.

Deposit scheme questions

QIs my deposit insured?

ADeposit insurance depends on the society’s registration and its arrangements. Please ask at the branch for the current position in writing before you open a deposit, so that you have the information specific to your account.

Other questions

QHow do I check the status of my application?

AWhen you submit a membership application or a grievance online you receive a reference number. Keep it safe and enter it on the status page to see the current stage. You can also call the office during working hours with the same reference number.

QHow do I file a grievance?

AUse the grievance form on this website, or write to the branch. You will receive a reference number immediately. The society aims to acknowledge every grievance within three working days and to resolve it within the period stated in its grievance policy.
